Graeme Foote, Master Sculptor, has been sculpting since the 1970’s when he started an apprenticeship as a stonemason then transferred his career to Jeweller and Silversmith.
In 1984 Graeme along with his wife Angela opened 'Gargoyles & Dragons' where Graeme became a successful Architectural Sculptor working in terra cotta, stoneware and bronze helping replace Melbourne’s heritage.
In 1988 they established 'Surrey Sculpture Studio' which specialises in making unique garden products and over the years there have been many significant commissions for fountains for the City of Stonnington and ‘Rippon Lea’ for the National Trust, Flemington Racecourse to name a few. Over the years he has created commissioned pieces for client’s private collections in Australia, USA, UK, Japan, Canada and France.
In 2009 'Gargoyles & Dragons' was sold, so now the full focus is on 'Surrey Sculpture Studio', the same year the business left Surrey Hills and moved to the rear of Hawthorn Studio & Gallery in Hawthorn East.
